an Uchiha Sasuke timetravel fic
Prologue: Out of time
Uchiha Shin had never
been a particularly good ninja. He had been talented enough and given time he
would have gone far, but in the middle of a war time was short.
It had been supposed
to be only a minor scrimmage the first battle he was supposed to participate in
after being deployed. At first Shin had been so very proud of his new position.
He was a real shinobi
now, out to defend his country. By the time the signal to move came his outlook
had been changed and above all he was terrified. Proud still, but shaking all
the same.
He had grasped his
kunai a little tighter and prepared himself to engage the enemy. The barrage of
kunai and Shuriken sent in their direction, thrown at a speed that should not
be possible, had been unexpected. Given time Uchiha Shin would have gone far,
but in that moment his time ran out.
Uchiha Shin did not
have the experience nor the skill required to evade the attack.
But Uchiha Sasuke did.
